ReplyDeleteIdeas in this portion were more focused on what the use of the writing in the college culture. They questioned whether it was a good/bad thing to learn. The selection also had many key elements of how the fyc wasn't focusing on the students teachings.The way the teachings were it was split into genres of moving on in your skill if you learned higher you were placed higher.

Resisting Misconceptions
ReplyDelete- Wasn't designed to learn how to write, but to teach the concept of writing.
- Thesis clearly stated in the introduction, Logical conclusion, The essay should be clear, concise,and correct
- If writing studies as a discipline is to have any authority over its own courses, our cornerstone course must resist conventional but inaccurate models of writing.

ReplyDelete• The genre which you choose to write is the assumption of transfer which is unfounded.
• Suggestion “teaching and transfer” serve students sufficiently.
• While not arguing that writing “far transfer” is rather difficult it is necessary.
